Welcome to our Website!

Our agency has its roots in caring volunteers from our community and has developed through providing services to people in our area who have develpmental disabilities. Services have changed over the years, but our founding principle of control by, and service to, local community members has not changed.
Home Support Services
Home support services are currently provided 24 hours per day for 18 individuals. Each of our five homes is licensed by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services as a Level 3 assisted-living facility. Three homes are located in Patten and two in Island Falls. People living in each home are offered ongoing, active support in social, physical, and daily living skills. The Maine DHHS surveys each residence on an annual basis.

Community Supports and Supported Employment
Community support services are currently provided for 24 people through our program headquartered in Patten. Opportunities for growth are offered through a wide array of activities within our facility and participation in community events. Our Supported Employment program matches people with developmental disabilities to jobs in the community that fit their needs and abilities.
Special Olympics Team
For over 30 years, Green Valley Association has supported a substantial and enthusiastic Special Olympics team that competes in both the Regional and State summer games. For many of our athletes, it is the highlight of the year! The team does extensive year-round fundraising to make their participation possible.
